Watercolor Tutorial - Studying Figs
A watercolor tutorial as sweet as figs!
Hi everyone, Mou Saha here with a word art tutorial using Watercolor Pans. I have made a complete materials list for you.
Materials:
Castell® 9000 Graphite Pencil - 2B - #119002
Kneadable Art Eraser - Grey - #127220
Watercolors in Pans 48ct - #FC169748
Watercolor paper
Set up a couple of figs to study. Make a light pencil sketch on watercolor paper.
Fill up the water brush from the Watercolor Pan set with water or use another watercolor brush.
Start adding color using the Watercolor Pan. I like to add a little drama with my watercolors so I amp up the real colors of the figs.
Add more colors to fill up the figs paying attention to the light source. I love the colors to blend on the paper itself so they retain their translucence.
Add the shadows. Let the colors from the figs bleed into the shadow.
I hope you enjoyed today’s study with the pan watercolors. Remember, it is essential to practice regularly and you get the best results when you play freely!
