I wanted to include some simple tips and tricks for you to try out! This little ghost is the perfect test subject.

Ghost Doodles with Pitt Artist Pens, Watercolor Marker, and Water Brush

You may have noticed by now, but I am a huge fan of shading my doodles and lettering. Using Faber-Castell's Brush Pitt Artist Pen® (Warm Grey 272), I can add the perfect amount of shading behind my artwork! This tiny step can make such a big difference.

Another approach you can take is minimalism! First, you can draw your doodle in pencil, and then outline it in black, but only where you would shade it. This gives an implied shape and is perfect for the ghost!

Albrecht Dürer Watercolor Markers and Water Brush

Lastly, I wanted to test out my new Albrecht Dürer Watercolor Markers! I have been having so much fun experimenting with these, and I was so pleased to see my Warm Grey 272 available in this medium as well! First, outline the shape with one of these markers, then, using either a paintbrush or a water brush, go along your color and slowly bring the color to the center. This will help add depth and that sought-after watercolor look!
